Voodoo 5 Update

The current lineup of Voodoo 5 -- Lena, Skip, Jay Work (flute), John McDuffie (pedal steel), K'ly Carey (vibraphone), Paul Eckman (upright bass), and the team of Andres Ocampo and Cesar Ventura (percussion) are finishing up a new release, a two 7" set (because the tunes are each a little too long to make a regular EP).  Two new originals plus new arrangements of tunes from Ann Margaret and Nino Rota.  This is all being done at Haven Recording, with Kevin Chubirka at the desk.  Details soon.

Meanwhile, the next Voodoo 5 full-length long player is taking shape, a set of music inspired and/or originated by a beloved ambassador/expeditionary of American music so incredible we can't tell you who it is yet.  It will have liner notes by Ricky Riccardi (who has won two Grammys for liner notes) and will feature a cover painting by Frank Varela.
